Hillcroft | Bed and Breakfast York

We received a very warm welcome from Mal.The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits.Mal provides a wide choice for breakfast. Bacon, sausages, eggs etc are locally sourced, all of which are cooked to your liking and well presented. Hillcroft would be an excellent location for visiting York with the city Park & Ride a short distance away.We will have a return stay and we highly recommend Mal's B & B.

Best ever stay
Found this absolute gem on booking.com and are so pleased we did. Arrived to a very warm welcome from Mal who I must say is the best host ever, he is so friendly and honestly can't do enough for you. His breakfast is second to none, never have we had a breakfast any where near as good as this and we stay away a lot. The room was so big and immaculate, lovely touch with the chocolates ??. Fresh milk is also provided in the little fridge in the bedroom along with bottled water and plenty of tea and coffee. We will 100% be visiting again and will book directly with Mal. I promise once you've stayed at the Hillcroft you won't want to stay anywhere else. Thank you so much Mal for the best stay ever.

A peaceful retreat run by a lovely welcoming man,a short drive from York
A lovely pub in the village just a short 2 minute walk
Mal the owner looks after you like an old friend
He cooks a great breakfast right in front of you as the kitchen is open plan to the dining room
Nothing is to much trouble, I can’t fault the room or surroundings or indeed the host full marks Mal, can’t wait to visit again soon.

This is a lovely little place to stay. In a quite village and not far from York! We travelled up for the weekend on our motorbike and Malcolm couldn’t go out of his way enough for us. The room was lovely and clean and the bed sooooo comfortable!! Breakfast was cooked fresh and was a great way to set us up for the day and our ride home. Malcolm was so friendly and we already thinking when we are free to go back and see him again for a little weekend away. Thank you very much Malcolm I can’t recommend yourself and your place enough

This is a beautiful place to stay, easily living up to the description of luxury Bed and Breakfast. Malcolm made us very welcome. The bedroom was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower room was stocked with everything you might need, shower gels and shampoos and conditioner. There is a very pretty garden too. Malcolm cooks an amazing breakfast, absolutely delicious and obviously enjoys producing it. I would recommend his place to anyone. It's amazing and we hope to visit again one day.
